Aman Shukairy MD
Dr. Aman Shukairy is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma and anterior segment diseases. A fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and active member of several leading professional societies, she has built a career marked by both clinical excellence and academic leadership. After graduating with honors in English Literature from the University of Michigan, she earned her medical degree from Wayne State University and completed residency at the renowned Kresge Eye Institute, followed by a surgical fellowship in glaucoma. Her training equipped her with expertise in both traditional and minimally invasive glaucoma procedures, as well as advanced cataract and laser surgeries.
From 2011 to 2018, Dr. Shukairy served as an attending physician at Kresge Eye Institute, Assistant Professor at Wayne State University, and ophthalmologist at the John D. Dingell VA Hospital, where she focused on teaching, research, and patient care. In 2018, she returned to her hometown of Flint, Michigan, founding Premier Glaucoma and Eye Center to deliver exceptional care to her community, while continuing to balance her professional achievements with family life and community service.
