Chris Cowles PHD

Chris Cowles is OTI IP advisor. He is a biotechnology patent attorney at Withers Bergman LLP. He has deep IP experience in law firm, industry and academic research. He is skilled in all aspects of life sciences patent procurement and counseling with a broad client-base ranging from global pharmaceutical companies to academic institutions to startups and entrepreneurs.

Dr. Cowles holds a PhD in Biomedical Science from the  University of California at San Diego and a BA in Biochemistry and Economics from Rice University.  He was awarded a prestigious Damon Runyon post-doctoral fellowship at the Whitehead Institute (MIT). He obtained his JD from Suffolk University Law School.
